What are the benefits of climbing?

Climbing involves many transferable skills, builds confidence and self esteem and is a great stress reliever

Core skills gained while climbing include:

  • Increasing strength, endurance and flexibility to reach your climbing goals,
  • Hand and feet coordination and body awareness to place your body on the right holds at the right time; and
  • Problem solving, planning and decision making to help to puzzle out the best way to approach and complete a route

Is Climb Kent accessible to me?

Climb Kent has step free access in to and throughout the centre and to the accessible toilets.

We also have an accessible lift that grants step free access to all of our floors including our abseil deck.

We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt our sessions to suit those who have physical and neurodiverse challenges in their lives and encourage you to get in touch if you feel it would be helpful for us to know of any specific needs you have ahead of your session.

We are proud to be featured on Access to Climb which is a central place to find accessibility information about climbing walls.
